is a natural predator that will scare woodpeckers  away and stop them from damaging your structure. Pull the string down to the desired length ( the spider has a built in 18 inch string) (near or close to the woodpecker problem area) and allow to swing in the wind.
This spider does not need a battery! if you put a battery in the spider it may or may not operate.
. The spiders are brand new but some of the switches were wired wrong. This unusual solution is both very inexpensive and highly effective.  Hang the birds away attack scare spider along an eave or tree limb where the woodpeckers are drilling regularly and watch the woodpeckers take off!  The movement of the woodpecker Deterrent spider will help keep woodpeckers away.
