    Description

You're bidding on "Report of a Survey Of Transportation on the State Highways Of New Hampshire", published 1927 by the Bureau of Public Roads, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the New Hampshire State Highway Department.
From a historical perspective it's an interesting publication, featuring an analysis of then-current highway usage, forecasts of future traffic patterns, analyses of types and concentrations of traffic and impact of geography on highway development.
It also contains six color lithographic maps produced by the U.S. Geological Survey - a 13" X 24" consolidated map overlaying population, highway types and traffic density. The five other maps are 8" X 13" and illustrate more specific aspects of the highway system, types of traffic and projections.
Note some issues of condition - paper cover is soiled, with chips, tears and a flapping tear with paper loss on the bottom-left front. Booklet is detached from cover, cover page soiled and foxed, some other incidental foxing & soil within. Complete, though, and map are all in clean condition, minimal if any foxing/soil.
Rare to find in any condition, though - I could only find a few individual examples of some of the maps in research, but not the complete publication or a complete set of the maps.
Please review photos carefully to make your own determination of condition and appeal, and don't hesitate to ask any questions prior to bidding - thanks for looking!
