    Description

    You're bidding on "Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire" - circa 1925 based on the most recent copyright on the map, original copyright date of 1903 - by Geo. H. Walker & Co., Boston. This is a folding advertising map for the Steamer Mount Washington, with tourist info, timetables and prices, and period photos covering the back side.
    The map itself is quite striking, with all of the towns, bays and the steamer routes labeled. At the bottom is a numeric key identifying all of the islands, and all of the visible mountains of the White Mountain range in the background. Total size is 28" X 17 1/2". Folded as published.
    NOTE - map does have condition issues - some spotting and staining evident - particularly in the sky at top center, where the paper is wrinkled as though it got damp at some point. Also some light edge chipping and it appears to have some color fade - although still bold and pleasing in a sort of blue-and-grey scale.
    All that said, scarce to find in an early original state though - please review photos carefully to make your own determination of overall condition and appeal, and don't hesitate to ask any questions prior to bidding - thanks for looking!
