This listing is for a genuine natural earth-mined Demantoid Green Garnet stud earrings.
Demantoid Green Garnets are exceedingly rare so I was really excited to have the opportunity to purchase a pair of nice sized stones.
Green Garnets are becoming better known and more popular all the time. Demantoids are a variation of this very sought after family of gemstones along with Tsavorite and Grossular green Garnets.
These particular gems are a pretty lime-olive green colour very similar to Peridot but with an inner brilliance that really rivals that far more common gemstone.
They have been very well faceted with a round brilliant cut to make the most of their sparkle.
They are set into solid 925 hallmarked sterling silver earring posts with matching backs included. Can be made with 14k yellow gold filled earring settings if preferred for an additional cost.
I only have a very select number of these stones and I may not get another opportunity to purchase more at such a good price so don't be disappointed and miss out!

Demantoid Garnet is a rare variety of Andradite Garnet that is a transparent green and, in gemstone form, is highly lustrous. It is also called the Star of Garnets because its name means “diamond-like”, alluding to its wonderful brilliance.
Demantoid Garnet is the main gem form of Andradite and considered to be one of the most valuable forms of Garnet. Colors range from a yellowish green to brownish green with a yellow tint, to the bright emerald green that is very rare.
What sets demantoid garnet gemstones apart from the pack is its incomparable brilliance and fire. Some gemstone lovers claim that a demantoid continues to glow even in the shade. Rarity and remarkable radiance contribute to the value of demantoid.
It owns a record of high refraction (refractive index 1.880 to 1.889) yet it is still capable of extraordinary dispersion with the ability to split light and break it down into the full spectrum of the rainbow. This is one of its finest assets as it performs better than diamond. Demantoid ranges in many shades of green.
It is common to find somewhat yellow-green to brown-green with a golden glow. While it earns praises for its exceptional appearance most of its samples come in small sizes. It is rare to find it an enormous deposit. The majority of pieces will not exceed one carat and few will weigh more than two after cutting.

or Express postage options. I am only able to keep my prices so low by sending items using standard post without tracking included. Choosing Registered or Express post includes tracking and ensures that you have peace of mind.
International bidders are most welcome also! There is an automatic cost added to postage costs for each additional item.

Some of the photos are only sample shots of a particular item as I sometimes have more than one in stock, so the photos are indications of what it looks like. Because I'm using natural gemstones there will always be differences in the gems, as each one is unique. I try very hard to colour match stones used to make earrings but because I am using genuine natural stones there maybe some differences in shade in the gemstones used.
Many of the natural gemstones that I sell will have inclusions in them which I personally really like to see.
Even with today's technology inclusions are actually not able to be faked so I tend to regard them as being just as good as an authenticity certificate!
