ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION PAINTING OF 'NEWPORT RHODE ISLAND MILITARY INSTALLATIONS AND BUILDINGS FOR WORLD WAR 2' CREATED AND PUBLISHED FOR THE JUNE 1, 1941 PROVIDENCE SUNDAY JOURNAL
This is just a great original piece. One of the cooler maps for World War II you are going to find.  Also one of the best pictorial maps you are going to find.  Covered with everything military related to Rhode Island in getting ready for World War 2.  This is the original illustration done in watercolor and pen and ink.  Image measures 20 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches on original illustration board measuring 22 x 13 3/4 inches.  It is signed lower left "A.H. & F.H.".  Not sure who the illustrator is.  Painting is in very good condition.  Minor soiling but nothing too bad at all.  Some edge chips and soiling to the margins but again, nothing of concern.  Publishing stamp and other publication information verso.  Just a great original World War 2 illustration and map.  A great collectible.
