    Description

Listed out of my collection is another rare uniform for a full Colonel in the dreaded East German Stasi organization. This uniform is in outstanding condition and on the larger size at a 48. The Stasi officer tabs are machine sewn onto the collar. The lower left sleeve has a Felix Dzierzynski guard regiment cuff title machine sewn on.  What's interesting about the cuff title is that it's one of the pre-made titles that were already sewn together at the ends.  They were then sewn onto the uniforms.
The stitching does not go through the sleeve lining.  These
cuff titles were made later on for Stasi officers who transferred into the guard regiment.  Most of the ones you see on jackets are machine on through the sleeve seam when the uniform was assembled at the factory.  The uniform has a nice ribbon bar to include a Stasi award badge.  Now for the exciting part of the uniform.  Above the right breast pocket is a nice Stasi officer academy badge in white.  Next the Stasi badge is a very rare Soviet KGB academy badge.  I have been told these were made in the late 80s in very small numbers.  Kind of like a private purchase graduation badge.  This is the only one of these badges I've ever
encountered.  If you need additional pictures I have some of the badge front and back.  The uniform is dated the first quarter of 1984 (H/1).  A pretty tough uniform to locate especially with the Soviet KGB badge.  Don't miss your opportunity to add this outstanding uniform to your collection.  I'm starting the auction out at a low starting bid so good luck!  Please check out my other auctions for more rare Cold War items.  Thanks for looking!
