Instant-start electronic fluorescent ballasts turn on lights immediately and are used in fluorescent lighting fixtures in warehouses and other areas where lights are left on for long periods of time. They provide high voltage at start-up and should not be used with occupancy sensors or other lighting controls that turn lights on or off frequently.
