My son has alopecia areata and is currently being treated with rounds of corticosteroids in injections. Our insurance doesn't cover the prescribed numbing cream so I've been on a mission trying to find my son the best numbing cream so his injections are painless. After 3 different creams and his 3rd visit- his injections are now pain free while using GREENCAINE BLAST!!
With a Q-tip and a gloved finger, I dab (not rub) the cream onto his bald patches (sizes vary from the size of a dime to the size of a grapefruit.) Then like other reviewers recommended I cover the treated areas with plastic wrap.
Since it's his head and he's a kid who needs to sit with this on for at least an hour I have him wear a beanie over the plastic wrap to help keep everything covered and in place. His dermatologist wipes the cream off right before injections and he is pain free. During his procedure and already receiving about 10 injections
he asked his dermatologist, "have we started yet?" 😂😂 Usually his eyes are filled and my hand is red from his squeezing.

I browsed through quite a few numbing gels and creams before deciding to try this one. I was still a little leery even with all the great reviews, just because a couple said it "did absolutely nothing" for them. I'm telling you, if you follow the directions, don't rub it in, and place it on in a THICK layer at least 1.5 hours beforehand, it does an AWESOME job! I applied as directed down my back for a good-sized tattoo 1.5 hours before my appointment. It was a full two hours before we actually started tattooing. When my tatt'er wiped the gel off, he said he thought it was working because the skin was a bit red where it had been. I still couldn't really tell, other than his touch felt light. When he said he was ready and we were getting started, I waited, expecting to feel maybe just a little less pain than normal. I could hear the needle going and feel the pressure, but ZERO PAIN! It was amazing. I barely felt the entire outline of the whole tattoo. I felt where we didn't cover a large enough area at the top, and I felt when he switched needles to a deeper penetrating one. I also felt areas where we didn't put it on quite thick enough - they weren't as numb. It started wearing off about halfway through - closer to 3/4 way through the session, but it still kept things more dull than they normally would. I am getting a large piece done next month, and am purchasing two more bottles to make sure we don't run out!

Great stuff, I I been waxing my underarms for about 10 years now and never thought to use a numbing cream (I know stupid me) but now that I'm pregnant the sensitivity in my skin has become more intense therefore I needed to use something that would help...let me tell you this stuff is the ????????!!!.... The product arrived fast and in good condition. I decided to test it out before i used it for my brazilian wax. I placed a little on the area that tends to be the most painful when waxing and gently rubbed it in a little.... i waited over an hour and it did not work at all.

LMA Laboratories emailed me instructions, which were not printed on their bottle. It stated DO NOT rub it in, put it on in a thick layer and for the bikini area, allow an hour for maximum absorption.
I followed those instructions when it came time for my wax. When I arrived for my appointment, I had no ideal the gel worked, until i touched down therr to wipe it off... the waxing was almost painless... which is NEVER the case... Greencaine blast is quite pricey, but totally worth the purchase!!

Imperfect, but definitely better than doing nothing
I have been having electrolysis on my upper lip. This hurts! So I tried Greencaine and it helps, but I still feel pain, just not as bad. Hence the four stars, I would give five stars if no pain. I let it sit on my face for an hour before the treatment, and I make sure I really slather the stuff on. I've also discovered taking the strongest recommended dose of an anti-inflammatory such as Advil a hour before the treatment with helps too, dealing with the pain from the inside as well as the outside.
I donate blood every couple of months, and I thought about using this to help with the big needle + iodine antiseptic sting. However I couldn't find any information if this topical formula seeps into the blood enough to affect the quality of the donation, so I don't use it. I know I can't take Advil for the same reason. So I guess I just need to accept a certain amount of pain with both the electrolysis and the donations. I'll just tell myself I am building character as I head towards my goals of smooth skin and helping society, hehehe. ~Shay

Used for Belly Tattoo Today
Even after receiving my Greencaine, I rescheduled my bellybutton area tattoo a couple of times from getting cold feet because the belly is supposed to be one of the most painful areas. But I was determined to go through with it today. I slathered on the Greencaine 1.5 hours before the appointment. Followed the instructions and made sure not to rub it in. More like placing a thick layer. Then I put saran wrap over it. Before walking into my appointment, I wiped it off with wet wipes.
First part of the tattoo was the outlining. I really thought I would faint from the fear of anticipation. But he got started and I could not believe that I felt nothing! Not one prick!
Second part was the shading. This time I felt the needles, but the pain was around a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Total time from application to completion of tattoo was 3 hours.
I was able to get this checked off my bucket list but no way would I have had the guts without the numbing gel.

So, I was a little skeptical about its potency. I applied it to my whole forearm, and it was on for about 45 minutes. I have 3 spots that are still red and irritated from my last tattoo, and i could still feel it when I went to get my tattoo done, so I was expecting it to do nothing.
