Antique Silver Hills Peanut Tin with Bail New Albany, IN; Country Blue 1 Lb Tin.
Here’s a cute little country blue bailed peanut butter tin for your country store display. This one pound tin was made in New Albany, Indiana packed by a grocery wholesaler. Measuring just 3 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches at top diameter it has that cute miniature look. It is in nice antique condition with a little ripple in the shape on one side near the bail. The lids fits well, the inside is clean. About 85% of the original paper label is still present. It is black and red on a tan background. What’s interesting, though, is that the label was put on the backside of the tin over the seam! The fact that this is a seamed tin probably makes it somewhat older. Still just so cute! Great little country piece in your country store display and the colors are perfect to include with Americana.
