This is a new 010
R
cash drawer lock and 1 key. It comes with the latch and locking clip for the backside of the lock. What is shown in the photos is what you'll receive.
This lock turns the key clockwise, or right, to open the lock. Hence, the R in the part # 010
R
.
What Does It Fit?
This is
not
meant to replace a 010L lock. See my other listing if you need
the 010L (left-turn)
version of this lock.
This is popular with many MS and Star cash drawers, which may also be used by brands like Radiant Systems, NCR, Aloha, Upserve Breadcrumb, and Panasonic
If you've broken a key off in the lock there are a few possible ways to remove the damaged lock. Once the drawer is open you can remove the retaining clip on the backside of the lock and it should come out. Installation is the reverse.
Use the Drawer Kick Feature of the POS Printer (if applicable) to open the drawer
See if there's a manual release/open mechanism on the bottom of the drawer
Remove the screws on the bottom of the drawer and carefully move the bottom plate enough to get a hand in and remove the clip
